Switching to First National Bank has never been easier!

We are always looking for ways to make banking with us easier and more convenient. That is why we've developed the First National Bank Switch Kit. This switch kit is one more way we are working to make your life simple.

Follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the simple forms. If you have any questions or concerns during this process, don't hesitate to stop in to see us or give us a call at (618) 357-9393.

Step 1: Stop by First National Bank in Pinckneyville to open your new checking account or visit our website, www.fnbpville.com, and go to the Personal Banking tab and choose "Checking." Once you have chosen the account that is right for you, click on "Apply Now" to begin the opening process. To open your new debit card, come in to see us or visit our website and go to the Personal Banking tab and choose "Debit Cards." A customer service representative will be contacting you to complete the process.

Step 2: Stop using your previous account and start using your First National Bank account as soon as possible.

Step 3: Gather the information regarding your automatic deposits and automated payments. You may use FORM 1 to help you with this process.

Step 4: To set up your direct deposit for non-government employment or retirement benefits, use FORM 2 and give it to your employer or retirement plan representative. For Social Security benefits, go to www. socialsecurity.gov or you may call the Social Security Administration at 618-457-3618 (Carbondale Office) or 800-772-1213.

Step 5: To change your automatic deductions, use FORM 3 to change any withdrawals or payments that are automatically debited from your previous account. Also, don't forget about any payees that may use your old debit card number for automatic payments.

Step 6: Once you are sure all outstanding items have cleared and you've changed your automatic deposits and payments, all that is left to do is close your account. You may use FORM 4 to send to your previous bank.
